The Defense Ministry has launched an online platform

The minister further revealed that the DESW has allocated 320 crores to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund (AFFDF) to complete all pending welfare scheme applications.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated on Friday that the Defense Ministry has launched an online site to address ex-(ESM) servicemen and their dependent's pension-related issues.

On the occasion of Armed Forces Veterans Day, he noted that the portal will allow them to directly file concerns with the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare (DESW).

Mr. Singh said on Twitter, “I am glad to announce the launch of Raksha Pension Shikayat Nivaran Portal, which is committed to redressing pension, especially family pension-related issues of ESM and their descendants for rapid redressal.”

He stated that the gateway will benefit current and future military retirees. “A portal application will automatically produce and send SMS and email to applicants on their registered number and email, informing confirmation and tracking status,” he explained.

The minister also revealed that the DESW has allocated 320 crores to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund (AFFDF) to address all backlogs of pending welfare applications, including schooling and marriage grants for ESM widows and dependent children.

The Minister further revealed that between April 2021 and December 2021, the Directorate General of Resettlement issued 22,278 job letters to civil life ESMs in government, PSUs, banks, and the private sector, including 7,898 job letters to newly retired/first-time entrants.

The DESW is responsible for the Directorate General of Resettlement.

On the occasion of Armed Forces Veterans Day, the minister sent his warmest wishes to all veterans and their families. “We are proud of our veterans who have bravely, dignifiedly, and honorably served our country. The Indian government is dedicated to the welfare of the ESM “he stated.
